    Cat is just a marketing machine. Reminds me of Harley-Davidson and Chevrolet. They use marketing to make up for their shortfalls. Because of marketing, operators of these products see them as “superior”, when in reality, they aren’t. They are the market leaders in their industry because of marketing. Do you really think Chevy makes the best cars? HD the best cycles? Cat the best equipment? Nope! Cat is overpriced with high “resale value”. Really? Go back 5 years and compare!

    @winsumsoon88 CAT excavators cant be beat, same with their graders and loaders, but yes their backhoes fail hard

  • winsumsoon88:

    CASE equipment has such a quick response, which CAT fails at…yes CAT is a slower machine and just not as durable or effective. CAT doesnt target selling the ‘mechanics’ …yet they tend to sell their name ‘CATERPILLAR’ ..boo! Sure CAT is recognized but truly CASE has it all!

    case is one of the lightest backhoes made. i dont think they will give that up seeing that cat and deeres are so heavy. case will go more places thatn a cat or deere will ever dream of. not meaning anything by the machine they are just lighter

    @1D5dozer OOO so u got to operate it? good deal buddy, i bet it is nice. I never said it was bad, or under powered. Just that it looked heavy.

  • 1D5dozer:

    @fox13z400 No the “N” is a lot better (1) thing i really like is the short steer system in 1st & 2nd gear it will have full steering in a 1/2 turn of the wheel instead the normal 1 1/2 turn each way. Great for loading trucks! Also it is not as heavy as you may think & the power she puts out makes up for the the little extra weight.

  • fox13z400:

    @1D5dozer so u prefer the M? i do really like the M. i just wish they were lighter

  • 1D5dozer:

    @fox13z400 i agree but feel they have no choice because mini ex & skidders are so popular. i have been running 580 for 22 years & now days in tight working areas like small back yard additions. New customers say the same thing “I thought you would of brought the mini for this” then i do the job with my “m” & they are surprised & happy how fast it went. I don’t wish to insult anyone but i feel anyone can run a mini & skidder & a large amount of them can be moved with a pick up & no CDL license

    @Diggerkid It looks like CASE is making their machine’s heavier and heavier each year. they need to make one that’s the same weight as the L models were. We aren’t looking for a heavier machine.

    This is raw video shot by our senior editor at the N Series launch. The beta testers were on hand to demo, and we reviewed it in our October issue.

    @Diggerkid

    it might be

  • Diggerkid:

    @casefan14 its the extendahoe

  • casefan14:

    @jasonmac70

    what you hear that is making that noise is the bucket on the quick coupler. you can’t prevent that from no happening. if you watch closly to the bucketit moves a little. they have to move around so much.

  • jasonmac70:

    That does seem like an awesome machine! I love all of the improvements… I can’t wait to see more videos like this.. My only question is… what’s with the jiggle noise? The machine seems too new to have swagger or loose pins to make the jiggle noise, when repositioning the bucket… I would think it would be tighter. Is it because his Extendahoe isn’t retracted all of the way?

  • casefan14:

    awsome machine! can’t wait to try one out

  • flaresideman:

    put me down for one

  • equipmentfan93:

    Great one ! Thanks for sharing. Anymore video of it ?

  • Diggerkid:

    I like it.
